Stata Childcare Center

Welcome to TCC Stata—The Stata Childcare Center

The Stata Childcare Center is located in the iconic Ray and Maria Stata Center building designed by Frank Gehry. The mix of classrooms, offices, student gathering spaces, and play spaces for small children creates a uniquely energetic environment that inspires every member of the Stata community.

Meet the director—Karen Donaher

“I have always valued the field of early education because children deserve a strong social and academic start. In the course of my career, I have taught toddler, preschool, and kindergarten classes. While earning my master’s degree in early childhood education at Salem State College, I heard about Bright Horizons, a new childcare company with a teaching philosophy that matched my own. I began my career with Bright Horizons in 1989 as director of the Prudential Center facility and, in December of 2008, assumed the role of director at TCC Stata.

I strive each day to see that TCC Stata provides children with the warm, nurturing environments they need to grow socially, cognitively, and emotionally. Education is a journey, not a race, and our classrooms offer rich, engaging, challenging, and rewarding learning experiences that instill a love of learning—a love children carry with them throughout their lives.”
